Job Description
The successful candidate would be expected to assist in production support & maintenance of Investment Management applications with a focus on specific business needs and service oriented approach. The role requires the candidate to be able to do following prime functions:
? Incident management: Troubleshoot production issues and find root cause through analysis. Candidate needs to provide resolution OR escalate the incident to appropriate support team within defined service level agreement ( SLA ). If escalated then drive the resolution by following-up with appropriate support teams until the resolution or recovery is provided to business.
? Support & Operations: Perform routine operational tasks such as critical batch monitoring, morning checks on application’s readiness for business use, health check reports, maintenance tasks etc.
? Communication and Reporting: Regular communication to business and technology stakeholders through emails, phone, chat etc. Shift handovers to other location’s support team.
? Problem management & Change management: Identify and drive the production changes required to bring stability to production environments; Participate in Application releases, Infrastructure changes, Preventive maintenance activities like DR role swaps
? Continual Improvements: Identify, suggest and implement continual improvements through automations or process changes.

Key Responsibilities
? Provide application support and service like incident / problem and change management to wide range of IM business applications ? Provide the production support and services during the Asia business hours for investment profession based in the Asia investment office likes Hong Kong and Tokyo ? Performing the start of the day health checks of IM application before start of Asia business hours ? Ability to pick support for new applications getting transitioned from development to support ? Work closely with the Project Lead and Project Manager to understand & report back regular status of assigned tasks ? Strict compliance to support processes, Adherence to FIL company level policies ? Perform regular knowledge sharing through documentation and training sessions to other members ? Will be expected to work on-call rotation and work in shifts (early morning, late evening and/or weekends).
? Experience in working for validating and performing DR role swap and transitions
Experience and Qualifications
? Bachelor of Engineering or Technology from a reputed University preferably with Majors in computer science ? 6 years or above of relevant industry experience in developing and supporting IT applications.
? Work experience in supporting data platforms or data warehouse and/ or Dot Net / Java based application.
? At least 2 year of relevant experience in production support (applications support) in L2 or L3 model.
? Experience of complete project lifecycle execution from Requirements Analysis to Production Support ? Experience of working with multi-cultural and geographically disparate teams ? Strong experience of in developing and maintaining solutions ? Flexible and approachable team-worker
Mandatory Technical Skills
? Well versed with database SQL queries ? Familiarity with Oracle database and Unix platform ? QlikView dashboard development (data modelling within QlikView not important but desirable.) ? OBIEE report, dashboard experience.OBIEE SmartView (Excel Add-in) experience.
? Experience in handling ITIL processes such as Incident, Problem and Change Management ? Good understanding of release and deployment management process ? Must have Financial Domain (Investment Banking / Wealth Management) working experience
Desirable Technical Skills / Experience (Nice to have)
? Experience in supporting WebFocus IBI, MicroStrategy, Cognos or Tableau and Spotfire experience ? Finance industry knowledge with Equity and Fixed Income asset class will be a plus ? Experience in the production failover and disaster recovery (DR) ? Experience in automating real time application monitoring ? Experience and well versed with Scheduling tools – Control-M knowledge will be preferred ? Versed de-bugging WMQ-WMB Flows ? Experience or familiarity with other databases such as Sybase, SQL Server ? Experience in stored procedures and database development in Oracle 10g or above using PL/SQL ? Experience or working knowledge of Informatica or any other ETL tool
