JOB PROFILE SUMMARY
Provides accounting, reporting, and consolidation expertise. Supports in accounting and reporting matters to business/reporting units through resolution of accounting and reporting
questions, financial statement preparation and reviews follow-up on accounting issues. Supports in the preparation of financial reports in compliance with internal guidelines, procedures, and external regulatory requirements.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
?Contributes to the definition, implementation, and improvement of accounting policies relevant to their area and level of expertise (as applicable).
? Performs general accounting activities, applying techniques and standards to solve unusual issues.
? Provides perspective on accounting matters, based on well-established principles and practices, and ensures the implementation of changes in Accounting & Reporting Guidelines (A&RG) in their area of responsibility.
?Executes established accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with ABB group policies and local instructions (where applicable).
?Performs quality checks on financial reporting data submitted by the units, including analytical review of major fluctuations.
?Prepares/reviews footnotes for the group public disclosures (if applicable).
? Participates in initiatives and projects to continuously improve financial accounting and reporting processes and tools.
?Liaises with internal and external auditors on accounting and reporting issues.
? Conducts investigations and reconciliation of accounting transaction, as necessary, and facilitates the resolution of accounting and reporting issues.
?Applies accounting techniques and standard practices to the classification and recording of financial transactions.
? Performs Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICoFR) processes.
?Maintains reporting procedures within the area of responsibility, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
?Participates in internal control testing and prepares relevant documentation.
