Requirements
1)Bachelor's degree or above in Education,Library Science or English Literature/Linguistics
2)A recognised teaching qualification.
3)Experience teaching across the range ofSecondary age students, including experienceof teaching information literacy andimplementing programmes which aim todevelop a love of reading. Teaching experiencein IB school preferred
4)Strong information technology skills, includingfamiliarity with IB curriculum.
5)Ability to team player/ collaboratively workwith a team; time manager; work underpressure; qood interpersonal skills; excellent computer literate and organizational skills.
6)Fluent written and spoken English.
Responsibilities .
1) Reading and LiteratureAssist Secondary librarian coordinator(SLClisted below) to foster an environment thatencourages and empowers students to readand research in academic.Support SLC to develop, implement andsupport strategies, programmes, special eventsand activities to support reading, and todevelop in students and staff a love of literatureand the habit of lifelong readingSupport SLC to select a wide range of literature in print and digital formats, acrossboth English and Chinese, reflecting diversestudent interests, development and levels ofattainment.
2) Learning and Teaching·Provide library information literacy(LIL listedbelow) lessons in MYP - to build and developan array of reading and research skills, as welas inspire a love of reading·Support SLC to create and nurture aninformation-rich learning environment whichsupports the needs of the school.Inspire and facilitate independent learning teaching strategies
4) OthersSupport daily tasks of the library.Deliver student supervision during breaktime/lunchtime
